The Chalet
Katoomba is located in a peaceful south-facing spot on the Riviere Towans Chalet Site, situated in the fabulous sand dunes of Hayle.
It has two double bedrooms, a cosy living room with underloor heating, a fully equipped kitchen and a shower room. It also has a large decking area with comfortable rattan furniture - the perfect place to relax after a day on the stunning beach.
The Beach
The stunning 3 mile long beach is less than a 10 minute, safe walk away and is fully lifeguarded during peak times.. The soft, golden sand is perfect for building sandcastles, with a fabulous shallow tidal pool. The beach equally has plenty of space for watersports- swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing, paddleboarding... With cafes and shops close to the beach, you really can spend all day there.
The majority of the beach is dog friendly, but there are some seasonal, daytime restrictions on other parts. Please see the local area page for further information.
The Location
Katoomba is set within Riviere Towans, which is a 40 acre site nestled in the sand dunes. The South-West Coast Path is a short walk from the chalet.
We are well positioned for all that Hayle has to offer. There are some fabulous restaurants and shops, and a few supermarkets within a short drive. There are two pubs within a 10 minute walk, and numerous takeaways if you want to relax back at the chalet or take dinner down to the beach.
Hayle is centrally located for many Cornish attractions. It's 20 minutes away from Marazion and St Michael's Mount, about 40 minutes from the Minack Theatre and Land's End, and only a short scenic train ride to St Ives.
What Guests Say
Just returned from a week here, it was probably one of the best places we have ever been.
Everything was spot on, so clean, so cosy, so comfortable, a huge thank you to Kerry and Andy for all the useful information and quick responses to any questions.. we just wish it was not so fabulous, that way we could book again and again ... Thank you so much Mandy/Elton.

The most amazing get away. We stayed at Katoomba for a week and can't wait to book again. Located right in the middle of everything so was easy accessible to everything if needed but the chalet had everything we needed upon arrival. The under heating flooring is amazing especially after going for an evening walk. Would highly recommend booking here we had a toddler with us and it was amazing especially with the little decking area
